Over the years, Wangdenling has become a place where many Dharma teachings and personal retreats have taken place. This was made possible mainly by having our own facilities — although it was an old house, far from ideal.
However, this over a century-old mud house is crumbling before our eyes. And if we want to continue to have a space that allows us to meet, practice, and develop, we face another common step — the construction of a new house.
New house – new opportunities for the entire community
Building a new home is not only a necessity, it is also a welcome improvement that will bring many benefits — for Wangdenling, for you, and for the entire community. The current facilities have a very low level of comfort, which discourages many visitors.
The new house will not only offer a higher level of comfort, but also spaces suitable for personal retreats or overnight stays during courses and studies. Teachers will be able to stay directly in Wangdenling.
Who will pay for it?
At first glance, building a new house may seem like a financially demanding project for a relatively small community living around Wangdenling. However, the opposite is true — thanks to the promise of help from our sponsors, who are willing to cover up to half of the total costs, this project becomes a realistic possibility. We can start preparing for construction as early as 2026!
