Dear Vajra Brothers & Sisters,

On December 7th 2019 there will be remembrance ceremony for Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

It will take place in Jangchub Jong, DORZONG INSTITUTE, near Gopal Pur, in northern India (around two hours drive from Dharamsala). It will start at 10 am followed by a lunch offered by the Institute to all visitors.

This is a kind initiative of Drugu Choegyal Rinpoche and the Jangchub Jong Institute, a day to honour our dear Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

This will be followed by one week of Vajrasattva Pujas sponsored by International Dzogchen community disciples and Tibetan devotees who greatly admire Chögyal Namkhai Norbu. The event will start on Dec 8th and take place over three days at Jangchub Jong, then two days in Tashi Jong Monastery and finally two days in Tashi Jong Institute. These Vajrasattva pujas are to be held for the benefit of all beings, to fulfill the noble wishes of our great Master, Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.

The first three days of the Vajrasattva puja program will start from December 8th at 10am, in the Main Hall of Jangchub Jong, with senior and middle age monks and nuns lead by a Tokden. Another young monks group led by a Khenpo will recite the Hundred Syllables mantra. Lunch break from 12 until 1. Then we continue puja with a Gana Puja and Dharma pala invocations and offerings from 1 pm to 3 pm.

After three days following the same program, there will be two days with a daily session of Vajrasattva Puja at Tashi Jong Monastery and the last two days will be at Khampagar Institute, near Tashi Jong.

Disciples of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu are welcome to attend any of these events.

You are welcome to start arriving on December 6th, to be present at the ceremony on the morning of December 7th.

Arrangements for accommodation can be made in the guest houses at Jangchub Jong by booking in advance. In respect of the Memorial Ceremony, rooms will be free of charge. For those who feel these rooms may be too basic, there are hotels available nearby, with different rates depending on your budget. Jangchub Jong will provide the contact for hotels and taxis in the local village, in case any assistance is needed.
